How can actors play two characters at the same time?
How is it that certain actors can play two characters at the same time?For instance,take the evil twin scenario,an evil twin and the good counterpart are usually played by the same actor,so how is that one
actor can play both characters and they both appear on the screen at
the same time?I imagine it has something to do with special effects
but I want to know specifically how.Another thing,how can voice actors do this sort of thing?It’s probably easier for them to do this sort of thing but again,how?I appreciate all the help and effort put into this
question.

The Cosby Experiment
Nedroid and his friend Emmy found that after drawing Bill Cosby separately, their Cosbies were nearly identical! So they set out to explore the “collective consciousness of Cosby” by getting 190 people to draw the Cosby. They expected sweaters and pudding pop references, but discovered that not all associated Bill with those two stereotypes — only 8 of 190 drawings had both the Cosby sweater and the Jell-O pudding pop.
