What famous actors have been affected by cancer?

Which famous actors, actresses, bands, or talk show hosts have had their lives affected by cancer? Either a close friend, or family, or themselves… I am hosting a cancer benefit fundraiser at my High School and would really like to invite some famous people that would really make this fundraiser skyrocket! And all of the proceeds will go directly to Fran Drescher’s Cancer Schmancer organization.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Humphrey Bogart, lung cancer, Susan Hayward, brain cancer. John Wayne, colon cancer. Lee Remick, brain cancer, Steve McQueen, inoperable cancer. Dusty Springfield, breast cancer. There were a lot of actors from that era and it was said they got cancer after filming in the Nevada desert where the nuclear testing went on.

Patrick Swayze currently died from pancreatic cancer…
or you can talk about Sheryl Crow or Christina Applegate.
both are cancer survivors.
